She went on to pursue her desire to practice in the field of Cosmetology by enrolling in Robert's Institute of Hair Design where she graduated and passed the State board of MD. Furthering her education in Cosmetology she attended numerous advanced courses by top cosmetologists and companies such as Paul Mitchell, Kemi Products, Avlon and Dudley's to name a few. Her talent, knowledge, and skills allowed her to compete in various competitions winning numerous awards in hair styling and creativity. Her ongoing quests for advancement enabled her to return to the state board where she passed the exam and received her senior master's license. Her teaching skills were further enhanced at the Hair Academy, also located in the Washington, D. C metropolitan area. Since she has employed over 50 hair stylists and a team of educators delivering advanced services to the customer and training advanced skills to other industry professionals.
