Marty is the deuteragonist of the Madagascar franchise. He is a zebra who formerly lived in the Central Park Zoomarty zebra madagascar, and he's also Alex 's best friend. He enjoys keeping the habitat organized, though not to the same degree as Melman.

When Alex decided to leave the reserve to save the watering hole, he wanted to apologize to Marty before leaving.
