They all agree the BBQs way better cooked over charcoal just not willing to put in the time My old man had exactly the akorn, ziggy triple and pit boss pellet grill and sold all of them for the matador boss set up. I have cooked on the matador and it is a good gas barbie. Yep, totally get that. Depending on where you are in life charcoal can be too hard. And if you have a nice new alfresco it's a great looking bit of kit. There is also nothing wrong with a gas bbq - my gasser is my most used due to time constraints.
