I think having them break up would actually be an interesting choice for Disney to make since it would give kids the perfect message that your first love is not very likely to be the person you'll end up marrying. Roxanne's absence in An Extremely Goofy Movie makes a lot more sense when you take into account the fact that she and Max dated as teenagers. Maximilian "Max" Goof is the son of Goofy. He first appeared in the short Fathers Are People , as Goofy Junior , and remained a regular in subsequent Goofy shorts of that era. Since then, Max has appeared in several features, usually alongside Goofy. Max is unique in that he is Goofy's son, as opposed to a nephew akin to Huey, Dewey, and Louie 's relationship with Donald , as well as a plethora of famous cartoon characters, Disney or otherwise.
