Mcu kree

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is home to an ever-expanding list of fictional races that populate its many star systems and hidden dimensions. Some are mcu kree, like the faceless, winged Hundun in Shang-Chi. Others are stoic and unknowable, like Uatu and the Watchers, who act as mere voyeurs in the events of the multiverse, despite their unfathomable power.

The Kree Empire is a galactic imperial government established by the Kree and based on Hala. With only a handful of rival entities, the Kree Empire is one of the most powerful states in the galaxy. Being an authoritatian and imperial state, the Kree Empire conquered and waged multiple wars on other civilizations, such as Skrulls [1] and the Nova Empire.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has showcased multiple alien species and how they interact with one another to create peace, war and everything in between. This has been best showcased with the Kree Empire and how they've made enemies with planets like Xandar and nearly eradicated species like the Skrull. However, with their focus on perfection and superiority, it's a surprise that, as a species, they're anything but. Captain Marvel showed the audience the Kree homeworld of Hala and revealed that while Kree has been showcased as blue in movies like Guardians of the Galaxy , not all of them were. In fact, some had other skin colors that proved a level of diversity within their ranks. That said, the reason for this has led to an unspoken tension among the Kree Empire that perfectly captured the hypocrisy of their vendetta against species like the Skrulls. In Marvel Comics, the Kree Empire traveled to many planets as they expanded their empire and met many new species. This, as expected, led to many Kree having children with the species they visited and creating Kree subspecies. Characters like Mar-Vell were known as "pink skins" and were treated as lesser forms of Kree by the original blue-skinned Kree. While this wasn't shown in Captain Marvel , it's likely that this was still practiced, at least to some degree. The Kree Empire has existed for millions of years, and while the prejudices that were introduced may have died down to the point that both subspecies of Kree could coexist, that prejudice may still exist on some level. Mar-Vell and Yon-Rogg represent some of the best minds and warriors on Hala and are treated with respect, even though they aren't pure-blood Kree. But even though the hate surrounding their version of Kree may still exist in some circles, that same hate has fueled Kree to take their prejudice to new planets. The Kree continued to plan their galactic takeover, which led to the near eradication of the Skrulls and the destruction of their homeworld.

Captain Marvel What If? Secret Invasion The Marvels. A race of mostly blue-skinned aliens with a powerful interstellar empire. Long expansionist, the Kree have waged wars with other races and cultures in the galaxy, particularly the Nova Corps. They also have a history of conducting experiments on alien races to build armies of super-powered beings. Absolute Xenophobe : In the face of Kree expansion and imperialism, other races are given two choices: Submission or extermination.

Aliens-wise, the Marvel Cinematic Universe got off to a slow start by introducing the little-known Chitauri as the first non-human race to menace Earth back in 's Avengers unless you count Thor and Loki. But the MCU is now back on track, having introduced plenty of other aliens including the Kree, an empire of superhuman conquerors with a taste for genetic meddling. But who are the Kree and how do they fit into the MCU? Alongside the shapeshifting Skrulls and the bird-like Shi'ar who fans of the '90s X-Men cartoon will be very familiar with , the Kree are one of the most powerful alien races in the Marvel Comics universe, and have tangled with Earth's heroes many times. Though the major Kree characters tend to be of the more 'purebred' blue-skinned variety, others appear just like pale-complexioned humans and, in the MCU at least, Beninese actor Djimon Hounsou portrays a dark-skinned Kree. The 'blues' constitute the Kree political and social elite, while the 'whites' are more numerous. While — skin colour aside — they look pretty much like humans, the higher gravity of their homeworld, Hala, means they are significantly stronger and more durable than your average Earthling. The empire is ruled by the Supreme Intelligence, a gigantic, be-tentacled floating head that contains the combined knowledge of the Kree's greatest thinkers, whose minds are assimilated after their deaths. It is, needless to say, very intelligent, with great predictive and psychic powers, which we guess just about makes up for it being a gross, dictatorial head in a jar.

One of the most formidable of those races is the military empire of the Kree. These guys and gals are blue-skinned but not always , hammer-wielding but not always , and terrifying always. Though the Kree have been around for a decade in the MCU , they came to the forefront in Captain Marvel and will take center stage again when The Marvels arrives this week.

The Kree Empire has existed for millions of years, and while the prejudices that were introduced may have died down to the point that both subspecies of Kree could coexist, that prejudice may still exist on some level.
