Previous A little oneshot I wrote; I hope it's okay to post considering no one has in a while. Anyways; please enjoy Transformers does not belong to me although I wish it did. As the leader of the heroic Autobots, it's easy to see the self-sacrificing Optimus Prime as a totally pure hero, but the Transformers franchise disagrees. While he may want the best for all Cybertronians, Optimus Prime is willing to go dark to get it. Optimus first met Megatron before the war, when he was a miner advocating for non-violent resistance. Orion was initially drawn by the message of the Decepticon leader, but it became too extreme. After the Great War between the Autobots and the Decepticons broke out, Pax distinguished himself as a capable and inspiring combat leader. The two leaders met in battle many times over the years, with each claiming victory on more than one occasion. However, their most brutal fight was not with weapons, but words. During the confrontation, a captured Megatron is able to goad the leader of the Autobots into forgetting his high moral code. Optimus is forced to struggle with what he actually thinks of Megatron - who has killed so many - and in the end pulls a switch to electrocute him. Megatron survives, but only because Omega Supreme saved him by cutting the power.
