Michigan Men's Basketball closed out their regular season of the campaign with an eighth straight loss, the team's 13th in 14 games and 18th in 20 games. Michigan hung around in the first half but like so many other games this season, were blown out of the water in the second half and the final minutes ticked down without any intrigue. Wash, rinse, repeat. Tominaga had his way with the Michigan defense, lethal from downtown with four triples, plus gobs of easy scores inside at the rim. Even for a Michigan defense that has had plenty of ugly halves this season, this first half effort had to have been among the ugliest. To Michigan's credit, they had a lot of offensive success as well in the first half against a Nebraska defense that had been pretty sharp in recent weeks. It wasn't enough to keep up with the way their defense was hemorrhaging points on the other end, but it gave the game a competitive feel, as Michigan only trailed by seven at halftime. There were a couple instances of Tominaga drilling a shot at one end, only for McDaniel to pull up from three and swish it at the other end. Michigan didn't get a ton else of note offensively outside of McDaniel in the first half, but it was enough to keep them within striking distance at the half.

I think I should revise my position here: Saban's managed to sluff off most of his roster deadweight on medical scholarships of dubious merit and it looks like there will be no outright cuts. Riley then completed his zone block by peeling off and hit the outside linebacker. Which makes sense because MGoBlue. A traditional blocking scheme could go one of two ways: block everyone man up or have the center block down on the defensive tackle while the guard pulls around to block the middle linebacker. And sometimes defensive linemen aren't considered first level, usually backside defensive ends who are suffered to run free so that the tackle lined up over him can instead block a second level defender.

Last year, there was a book, and it was good. As the founder of the wildly popular MGoBlog. Boren was the first Michigan offensive lineman in recent memory to not redshirt. These teams played fairly evenly but Michigan State has a goalie that can bail them out and Michigan doesn't. Then the linemen must drive the defender backwards, or at the very least prevent him from getting penetration. And the placement of the defensive tackles shoulder-to-shoulder with the defensive ends spread out in their usual place outside the offensive tackle is seemingly crazy on third and one.
