To safely access this, you'll need to defeat the Erdtree Avatar protecting the Erdtree, and then loop around the right side of the tree to find the doors. Beyond the Site of Grace, as you approach the right turn a Fanged Imp will drop from the ceiling and attack you, and after clearing it you'll arrive at a lift. Ride it down and you'll have two options. You can head straight forward west down a flight of steps, or turn around degrees and head into the passage to the east. Heading east, you'll find a Grave Glovewort 4 plant, and as you take the left turn you'll emerge into a multi-leveled room filled with scarlet rot. As you head out into the room, 5 fleshy blobs will drop from the wall behind you, so either enter the room and quickly backstep or sprint to the other side of the room to keep out of the liquid. The corpse in the center of the room holds an Aeonian Butterfly. Fanged Imps will bombard you with firebombs from the level above, so try to keep underneath the sheltered portion of the room. On the back wall of the room, you'll find a Grave Glovewort 5 , and in the right corner of the room by the entrance is another Grave Glovewort 4. Backtrack out, likely with a maxed scarlet rot meter, and you can ride the lift back up, and rest at the Site of Grace to remove the status effect. Keep in mind that this does reset the Fanged Imp you'll need to deal with.

I'm stuck down here with no way out. The next room is filled with the same scarlet rot fluid and several slimes will drop down from the ceiling as you approach. Note that phantoms in your world can pull the lever in this dungeon. Some hostile crabs will emerge from the ground though they pose little threat. A Grave Violet plant is located on the right-hand side of the room, and upon pulling the lever, backtrack all the way to the lift near the Site of Grace at the beginning of the Catacombs. The Watchdog wielding the Scepter can perform similar horizontal swipes and a floating AOE shockwave ground slam this time magic imbued. Consider using a Spirit summon to distract one Watchdog while you focus on the other, or Crystal Darts to make them fight each other. Go through the door and down the steps to find the mist you'll need to traverse to take on the dungeon's boss: two Erdtree Burial Watchdogs. Instead, focus on darting in, getting a couple of strikes in before retreating. Crystal Tears and Flask Upgrades. Can confirm that 5x crystal darts on one will make them attack each other.
