Smack-bang in Rome's city center, the destination keeps tourists and travelers fueled for long days exploring city streets and leisure afternoons filled with people-watching. An outdoor seating area welcomes patrons to relax outside when the weather is inviting, and multi-lingual waitstaff circulates among the tables taking orders of meat and cheese plates and refilling empty glasses of wine. Yet it is the dessert that has captured public attention.

We quickly learned that there is usually a pretty long line. Thankfully, we are staying not far away, so we casually strolled by until the line seemed reasonable. There is also the option of making a reservation. Keep in mind, everything is served slower in Italy than the US, so it may not be faster to get a table. As the line got longer, someone came out and took our order while we waiting and gave us a letter. And it was so good! I had the original because I feel like you should always start with the basics, and it was so creamy and delicious. I love the flavor of coffee, so it could have more coffee flavor for my tastes. We pre booked a table here and were glad we did as it is a popular place with good reason. Very fair price with an interesting range of local foods. The staff are very Highly recommended. We asked for a selection of local food. We were served a really great burrata followed by a selection of cheeses and salamis and then finished with a kinder bueno Absolutely recommend going here. More than just a meal, the knowledgeable staff treat you to a wonderful experience - better to ask for recommendations and be guided by their expert food and wine pairings than to just order yourself. The night, alongside the best company, was an absolute highlight for me and one that I know I will treasure for a long, long time.
