Just southwest of the Map Stelle, you'll soon find the Mistwood Ruins hidden among the trees and vegetation.

Concealed by the thriving growth of vegetation, these ruins are kept out of sight by the veil of nature itself. But there's more to it than what you see. Mistwood Ruins is a Location in Elden Ring. The remnants look shattered and forgotten and feature an underground cellar. You can discover the path to Mistwood Ruins by interacting with an antique spectral tree located south of Third Church of Marika , alongside the main road. Upon examination, grace will manifest as a golden human spirit that will wander without a clear destination. The spirit often disappears, but its footsteps can be traced not to lose track of it.

Mistwood Ruins are in East Limgrave. This area is slightly more dangerous than West Limgrave, but still part of the general starting area. The Ruins are in a wooded area, close to the path through the trees. The path goes between the Third Church of Marika site of grace and the Fort Haight West site of grace, so you may want to start at one of those points. Be wary of bears to the north and Undead Soldiers to the south. Within the ruins is an underground area with a chest. A Lesser Runebear sleeps on top of the entrance, but you can sneak past it if you crouch and jump over the low wall. Alternatively, if you do accidentally wake it up, you can run down the stairs, where it is too big to follow. Or, of course, you can fight it. It fights with its front paws, so try to stay behind it if you can and dodge roll when it turns and swipes at you.
