Monster House 3D is an animated horror-comedy film that revolves around three adventurous kids: DJ, Chowder, and Jenny. With creative planning and courage, the kids devise a plan to destroy the house by triggering its heart, a furnace in the basement, which contains Constance's spirit. In a climactic battle, they manage to accomplish their mission, freeing the neighborhood from the haunted house's grip. Monster House 3D combines elements of horror and humor, offering a thrilling yet family-friendly adventure where bravery and teamwork triumph over supernatural forces. Monster House was a perfect combination of kid-friendliness, horror, action and adventure. When I first walked into the theater I thought it would be "kiddy" because I went to see it with my younger cousin. You know how most animated movies are somewhat funny and about teamwork and working together or teaches life lessons or morals but I actually came to find that this movie was more scary than comical or ethical. I actually got into it.

The craftsmanship for the film is astonishing; it has uneasy instantaneous suspense, it's thorough with amazing concept writing for details, and it's effective with razor-sharp execution. Not to mention that the dramatic sequences including the climax are truly thrilling. The camera moves like it's filmed in live-action, even though it's actually not a live-action movie. This movie also plays like a serious movie with human themes like death and puberty.
