As much as we love to dress up, I am all about the easy costumes you can make at home.

Maybe you were even fortunate enough to get a visit after Sulley's laughter plan took effect and bedtime turned into a hilarious comedy hour with the likes of Mike Wazowski delivering his best material. While none of that probably happened, we want to help you bring the fun world of Monstropilis to life with our Monsters Inc costumes!

Every Halloween we come up with a family costumes. Family Halloween Costumes. Mike: Really? I always wanted a pet that could kill me. I must have seen it over two dozen times. I wanted to share all my tutorials in one place to make it easy, so this is my round up of five posts. We must have taken a million photos. This costume is Disneybound inspired. I altered a thrift store hoodie that is meant to be worn just a few times. I say this because it is no sew. Also from a thrift store, I upcycled a green t-shirt for my husband. This costume was meant to be comfortable and easy for my husband to walk around and go trick or treating with the kids.

Sure, he can't get his paperwork done and might be a little closed-minded when it comes to kids but the charming one-"i" Wazowski always knows how to think on his feet whether that means breaking into song or screaming and making a run for it!
