Musescore delete staff

My score attached is based on the SATB choral template. At one place in the score bars 49 to 80 I have musescore delete staff flute duet using the Soprano and Alto staves. The Tenor and Bass staves are not used for 32 bars, then the vocal parts return using all four staves.

I'm trying to delete measures in the middle of a piece, on a grand staff. I've tried all the right-click and menu bar options, and nothing works. I ended up moving everything from that point to the end of the piece up four measures to fill the empty measures, then removed empty trailing measures, but that's not really a viable workaround. I want to remove the Voice part from the attached file leaving just the left and right hand piano parts and I can't. When I try MuseScore crashes.
