Muzan's also realized that the only two ways he would be able to become immortal was by finding the Blue spider lily which will nullify his weakness to the sun, or to absorb the body of a demon who is capable of walking in sunlight, that demon being Nezuko. As long as Muzan stayed away from the sun and operated at night, he was unstoppable. For the longest time Muzan believed that he was untouchable, that was before he came across Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the inventor of the breathing styles and the person who invented the first breathing style, sun breathing. Yoriichi was known to be the strongest Demon Slayer to have ever lived. During their confrontation Muzan had underestimated Yoriichi's power and was quickly overthrown, when cornered, Muzan blew himself up scattering himself into a thousand pieces, the flesh pieces that did survive was enough for him to regenerate his body and escape.
