Naruto villages
In the world of Naruto, villages train up ninjas who serve as their local military, perform social services, and more.
The concept of ninja villages in Naruto was born when Hashirama Senju, the leader of the Senju clan, joined hands with Madara Uchiha, the leader of the Uchiha clan. Being the two mightiest of clans in the world, they created a solid foundation for peace to prevail in the world and to put an end to all wars in the form of Konohagakure, the very first shinobi village. Watching this model, the rest of the shinobi world soon followed it, and thus, the ninja villages were born. Over the years, these villages have only grown in size as many powerful clans continued to join them. With the birth of many powerful shinobi throughout the decades in Naruto , the five villages have become the face of their countries.

Hidden villages were created all across the Naruto world following a tumultuous period where the ninja clans were at each other's throats, known as the Warring States Era. This period ended when Hashirama Senju joined hands with Madara Uchiha and together , the two created a place where kids wouldn't have to go to war anymore. Madara Uchiha named the place Konohagakure. Seeing Konohagakure flourish, the neighboring countries also adopted the model , and thus, the birth of the hidden villages took place, every single one of which was home to some of the strongest characters seen in the story. Takigakure is a small village when compared to the likes of Konohagakure, however, over the years, the village produced some decent shinobi. Kakuzu, a member of the Akatsuki, was a shinobi of this village. At some point, the elders of the village ordered him to kill Hashirama Senju, a task he failed, but he survived. Otogakure came to be when Orochimaru defected from Konohagakure after his experiments were finally found out by Hiruzen Sarutobi. In time, he created his own hidden village, which was quite powerful. Otogakure was home to the Sound Four , all of whom were strong enough to take on a Jonin in battle. Furthermore, Kabuto Yakushi and Orochimaru were two more shinobi who belonged to this place, making it one of the strongest villages in the entire story. Uzushiogakure was once a famous shinobi village that existed in the Naruto world. The Uzumaki clan lived there and practiced all sorts of Jutsu , especially Fuinjutsu. Their skill in this art was such that even Hashirama Senju, the First Hokage of Konohagakure , sought help from them from time to time.

The Naruto series is set on a fictional terrestrial blue planet called Earth. Most of the series takes place on a large continent that is divided into a number of different countries; additional continents are occasionally depicted in supplementary media. From countless millennia worth of war amongst Earth's population, the bloodshed lead to the planet's God Tree absorbing it to subsequently grow a Chakra Fruit, which was forbidden for humans to touch. The God Tree was revered by some cultures; humans used to worship it as a sacred pillar that extended into the heavens and remained ambivalent to all conflict. Afterwards, she had twin sons, Hagoromo and Hamura , whom were the first humans born with chakra. Becoming corrupted by chakra, Kaguya began turning the planet's Infinite Tsukuyomi victims into an army of White Zetsu , and integrated with the God Tree to become the Ten-Tails in order to reclaim the chakra her sons inherited. Causing havoc to the planet, the beast was sealed away by the twins.
There are five great nations in Naruto , and every single one of them has a hidden ninja village. These villages produce the skilled ninja that will work not only for their respective villages, but also for the greater benefits of their own nations. That is why the countries usually depend on their own villages to provide them with skilled armed forces, while the villages themselves depend on the country for economic support. And even though they are technically part of their own countries, each leader of these ninja villages called Kage has full authority over their domain. Not only that, they are also free to conduct trade, and even political or military negotiation with other villages. As the name suggests, Konoha is located deep in the middle of a forest. This is the main entry of Konoha and whether they are shinobi or regular citizens, this gate is their primary way to enter the village. The person who leads Konoha is given the title of Hokage.

The Five Great Shinobi Villages are hidden from their enemies by the natural features of their surrounding terrain. Do you think you can find them on a map? Read on to learn more about the geography of Naruto's world! Naruto is set in a world of intrigue and subterfuge, where the hidden villages all take great care to guard the secrets within their borders. Let's see what they're hiding on this map! Konoha is located deep within a forest in the Land of Fire, at the base of a large mountain where the faces of all the Hokages are carved. Marking the border between the Land of Fire and the Land of Sound, the Valley of the End is distinguished by two massive statues, representing the epic battle between Hashirama Senju, the first Hokage, and his rival Madara Uchiha, which was so destructive that it actually carved out the valley where their statues now stand. To the west of Konoha lies the Land of Wind, a dry desert country with a harsh climate.

Otogakure, also known as the Hidden Sound Village, is a rather new village that was established in the Sound country. At some point, the elders of the village ordered him to kill Hashirama Senju, a task he failed, but he survived. Sadly, as is the case with most characters in Naruto , there was little to no progression for the story of this character. Akahoshi wanted the training to keep going, although he knew of its effects. Befitting its name, the village is surrounded by a thick mist, with several mountains in the background, making it difficult to find by foreigners. Tension between nations lead to the First Shinobi World War , which involved the majority of nations. Most ninja from Iwagakure use Earth Release techniques. If a successor isn't selected, the village will try to pick the strongest ninja they can, and many take the job on reluctantly. It lies in Land of Hot Water. It's home to multiple clans boasting unique jutsu, but fire-based techniques are especially common.

The country's western border with the Land of Frost has a large desert. Because it's situated between Konoha, Sunagakure, and Iwagakure, three countries that were often at war with one another, it was often the site of brutal warfare, which led to many casualties amongst the Amegakure citizens. This was a risky move, because Gaara hadn't even been born yet when it happened, and the One-Tails was notoriously difficult to control. As one of the five great ninja villages, it's led by the hokage, a powerful ninja who works with the other kages to either organize around mutual goals, or deal with conflict. This made it difficult for the Tsuchikage to agree to work with the Shinobi Alliance later in the series. Given the level of power that Jinchuriki have and how dangerous it can be when out of control, it's fair to approach them with caution. The country covers a vast realm, but is significantly composed of deserts and thus has little productivity. During the invasion, the villagers fought bravely to defend their home, but Kabuto's reincarnated pawns were too powerful and overwhelming. Their current leader is Shibuki. Hashirama Senju offered the Uchiha clan a peace treaty, which Madara accepted.
