As a member of the NSLS, you're part of a community of goal-oriented people with access to professional leadership training, exclusive scholarships, an online job bank, networking events, a celebrity speaker series, enhancement of your professional resume, and more. When the NSLS began 20 years ago, we decided to help the greatest number of people in the most significant way. We achieved this through a dedicated mission to impact the world by building stronger, more successful leaders. Our philosophy is that we accomplish more together than we do alone.

With more than 75 recognized clubs and organizations, life at SNHU is busy and active. From the Environmental Club to the Frisbee Club, you're sure to find a club that interests you. Of course, there's always room for more clubs, and it's easy to start your own! All student members must maintain a minimum 2. SNHU is a governed community with its ultimate authority residing in its Board of Trustees, delegated authority resting with the president and through them, the various administrative officers and recognized campus bodies. Each person and bodies share, to an appropriate degree, in the role of guardians of the integrity and good name of SNHU. For this reason, the process of recognizing, supporting and fostering student organizations is a shared responsibility. SNHU recognizes the potential of and the right to the existence of student clubs and organizations, which are in harmony with the missions, goals and objectives of the university. To these various student groups, SNHU lends its name, support and resources. SNHU, exercising its rights and responsibilities, affirms such groups as legitimate and productive members of the community.

SNHU is a nonprofit, accredited university with a mission to make high-quality education more accessible and affordable for everyone. Through our skillbuilding leadership development program, NSLS members turn dreams into action.

The idea was simply to offer online business students at Southern New Hampshire University an opportunity to join a small honor society. Helena Iaquinta , SNHU's assistant director of online engagement, is one of the chapter's co- advisor. She said participating in the NSLS gives students more than an acknowledgment of academic success. Students qualify for membership in the NSLS if they maintain a certain grade-point average and earn a minimum number of academic credits but also have to demonstrate leadership ability, according to the group's website. The NSLS is also unique in that it includes both undergraduate and graduate students and isn't delineated by academic major. Danielle Clark , an NSLS chapter support manager, said the group has nearly 1 million members on more than college campuses. The leadership development program members go through earns them a certification and the ability to "take their place among the top student leaders at their campus and across the country," she said.
