You just turn the internal rod anti-clockwise until the rod is approximately 1 inch wider than the window. Then you simply push the rod together so that it squeezes inside the recess. The rod will then stay in position.

The Spring Loaded net curtain tension rods have an internal spring which allows them to stay in position without any hooks. Both the Standard and Spring Loaded extendable rods are available in 5 sizes ensuring you will find one that will be the perfect fit, we also supply the centre support hooks which are ideal for the wider window. Tiebacks are an easy way to dress your curtains, our modern designs can compliment your curtains, voile panels, voile curtains and net curtains as well as give them a softer look, available in many different colours. All of our net curtains are made with a slotted top suitable for net rods and wires up to a diameter of 2cm, if you require it to be wide please contact us.

Tension rods are suitable for lightweight voile and net curtains that have a slot top heading, bowing may occur if a heavier curtain is used. Diameter: The end of the pole measures approximately 17mm in diameter, with the remaining pole just smaller at around approximately 12mm - this will fit a 3cm slot or bigger.

The answer is yes, unfortunately there may be some bowing on larger windows. The rods are telescopic with a pre-loaded spring, and although they are made of plastic coated steel and are generally very strong, above cm wide there may be some visible bowing therefore we recommend purchasing our centre supports to resolve this. We have tested all sizes of rod and have not experienced any bowing on the first 4 sizes up to and including the cm.
