Health insurance company Vitality has pulled out from sponsoring the Netball World Cup, with little more than two weeks before the tournament begins in South Africa. A subsidiary of South Africa-based financial services firm Discovery, it was announced in February that Vitality was set to return as the title sponsor of the tournament, having previously backed the edition in the same category. The brand has a number of sponsorships across netball, including the naming rights to the England national team. Now, Discovery has now confirmed Vitality will no longer sponsor the tournament, adding that the company will focus on its partnerships with both the South African and England national teams respectively. Regrettably, following negotiations, we were unable to reach a mutually agreeable partnership. Meanwhile, UK public service broadcaster the BBC has announced it will show matches from the tournament from the second group stage onwards across all of its platforms.

Netball vitality

The league was commenced playing at the —06 season, replacing the Super Cup as the elite netball competition in England. Since the league has been sponsored by VitalityHealth and, as a result, it is also known as the Vitality Netball Superleague. Historically the league's most successful teams are Team Bath , who have won five titles, and the Mavericks , who have played in seven grand finals. In more recent times, Surrey Storm won successive titles in and and Wasps have played in three successive finals, winning two titles, between and In Manchester Thunder won their third title. England lost in a series in New Zealand in November. England will play a Superleague 'All Stars' team in three new fixtures introduced to netball's calendar. The event - named the Vitality Netball Legends Series - will run from January and replaces England's fixtures against Jamaica, which were postponed over coronavirus concerns. Netball vitality

Featuring 11 teams, the season is set to be the most competitive and exciting yet. It will feature big-name signings from across the world of netball who will showcase their skills on court and make their mark on the competition as the domestic game returns. Due to the ongoing COVID global pandemic the decision was made to host the Vitality Netball Superleague behind closed doors across two venues this season, to enable strict and consistent COVID protocols to be in place for all games, supported by an extensive season-long testing programme across the league. The season will get underway at Studio in Wakefield for the first nine weeks and move to the Copper Box Arena in London for the remaining fixtures. The fixtures for the highly anticipated Vitality Netball Superleague season have now been confirmed and can be viewed here. The Vitality Netball Superleague VNSL season is fast-approaching and is set to be a thrilling spectacle of netball with 11 clubs battling it out to be crowned champions — and fans making their return to their favourite team arenas. The season — which runs from February 5 to June 5 — sees home and away fixtures returning to the league, following on from the season which saw the league delivered from two central venues.
