Had CAMC insurance for my caravans for over 35 years with no problems at all. Last year I bought my first campervan and again insured through CAMC but was offered no 'no claims' bonus at all. I have just got my renewal and the cost has rocketed! The renewal notice quoted what I paid last year and it was completely wrong and the 'no claims' discount was zero. Surely I am entitled to 1 years NCD?

Yes I've had my caravan insured with NFU for around 5 years now. I always check around for price upon renewal and they have always been competative. Most importantly their service when I needed them was excellent. My nearly new caravan was quite badly damaged in an accident a few years back. The claim, totalling around 8k was settled quickly and efficiently without any quibbling. The van was repaired at the main dealer to a very high standard. Hi Pete, I can concur with "the hog" and I also use them, I had my van broken into last year, and I claimed for the damage and a TV that was stolen, I was told that my cover did not cover personal items in the van, I said it has always had the cover, I was called back the next morning apologizing, and said it was there mistake, as someone at there place had forgotten to tick the check box when I got the new caravan as was just transfered over the phone with no paperwork. The match between car and caravan is perfect in accordance with a mix of European standards. Never insured with them, but I had my parked car clobbered a few years back by a lady driver who was insured by them, and there were no problems at all in claiming against them. It all happened whilst caravanning at Kielder, the kids wanted to go Pony Trekking and having found a stable asked the lady where to park.

Finally went with comfort insurance at less than half that.
