Dark Souls 3 has its fair share of bosses spread throughout the its vast world, old demon king. Each boss resides within an area, some areas which are not easily accessible. Most of the bosses in the game are main old demon king bosses and will block your path. However, there are many bosses in the game that are considered Side bosses that you can go and fight at any time, such as the Old Demon King.

In-Game Description. One of the many demons born from the Chaos Flame , the Old Demon King is now among the last of the dying race still existing in the world. The Old Demon King was one of the many demons born from the Chaos Flame , and according to its soul's description, was the last remaining demon to have been alive before the Chaos of Izalith was extinguished, making it one of the oldest living beings in existence by the time of Dark Souls 3. After the destruction of the Bed of Chaos , the line of demons began to decline with no means of maintaining it. In spite of this mass extinction, the Demon King persisted until the events of Dark Souls 3, along with the Demon in Pain and Demon from Below one of which will be reborn as the Demon Prince before ultimately dying. With the Chaos Flame extinguished, it has slowly withered away.

This guy and greatwood, to an extent are a change of pace from the usual animu-fast aggressive bosses of ds3.

He is through the doorway protected by the giant, tunneling worm. Due to his affinity to fire, the boss is fairly resistant to Pyromancy. He isn't a fan of Sorceries and Miracles however, and physical damage seems to hit him for normal amounts. If you're a melee character , we suggest relying mostly on dodging for this fight. The reason for this is his constantly use of fire.
