Percy and harold
Percy decides to compete with Harold, a loud proud helicopter, to a race after he scorns trains. Narrator : One day, Percy stopped at the airfield.
It's full steam ahead for Thomas , the little blue engine with the short stumpy funnel, short stumpy boiler and short stumpy dome and his special friends Gordon , Henry , James , Percy , Edward , Toby , Annie and Clarabel the carriages and of course their Boss, the Fat Controller. Here comes Thomas the little blue engine and his friends, chuffing towards eight more exciting adventures with their storyteller friend Ringo Starr. One engine is up to his old tricks but a new one brings some novel pranks all of his own. Someone learns the hard way that it doesn't pay to insult an old engine. Faulty brakes make for a dramatic runaway rescue.

Percy is enjoying working at the new harbour on Thomas' Branch Line. He likes the branch line work rather than shunting for the mainline engines at the big station. Along the branch line is an airfield and Percy hears the planes flying overhead. The loudest though is a helicopter. Percy complains about the noise it would make. One day Percy stops with his train at the airfield. The helicopter is there and they began by introducing each other. The helicopter's name was Harold and it's not long before the two start trading insults. When they finish, Harold flies away and Percy sets off for the quarry. Percy finds Toby and vents off his feelings about Harold. On Percy's trip back to the harbour, they hear Harold's unmistakable buzzing.
