Five aliens emerged from the wreckage: Dinko , Gumpers , Swanky , Flip , and Scruffy , who all immediately befriended him and moved in. From there, the series follows Tommy and his new alien houseguests as they get into various wacky misadventures around Tommy's hometown of DeSpray Bay. However, the show has very little in common with the toyline beyond the five aliens themselves, the go-getter spaceship and the rough concept of aliens living with humans. Abhorrent Admirer : Gabby frequently obsesses over and stalks Tommy, who doesn't return her feelings and is terrified of her. Granville repeatedly tries to win over Melba, who is repulsed by him.

The show aired from to and lasted for two seasons with a total of 52 episodes. Aliens have crashed into the top of the lighthouse tower and made themselves at home. Unfortunately, the earth boy living there was none-too-keen on this house invasion. When Tommy woke to be greeted by a big, slobbering Gumpers, he did what any kid would do when faced with being devoured by a pink, fuzzy, lovable alien: he ran and fell off the top of his lighthouse! It looked like this was going to be a very short TV series. And then, Dinko to the rescue! The little green fella raced down the side of the lighthouse little green fellas can do that, you know and caught Tommy before he became a Cadle pancake.
