The main fault was saying " ancillary drive belt worn and break imminent " and apparently this seems to be I suspect silent recall introduced in bsi upgrade software add a counter to number starting from rev-alternator - this problem was also on another forum on a hybrid which a near identical cars. Think there's just one for it being on in later software.

I got a local garage to run a check on their diagnostic software and they indicated the problem may lay in the ECU and queried whether ECU Software on my vehicle was up to date. On my last 3 annual service invoices there is no mention of any upgrades. The annoying thing is that apart from the warning light message appearing on ignition which then disappears after a few seconds there is nothing wrong happening withe cars operation. I have new battery and ECU was replaced by seller 2 days ago. Fault gone for one day, came out again but only for 10min. Sorry for bad spelling English is my second language. If you look back in the links in the thread you'll see i had a similar problem last year. Rear brake calliper mounting bolt could work loose. The honest truth is id rather break it than put it into a dealer and have them throw parts at it which it probably doesn't need! The best thing to do in this situation is to take your car to a mechanic sooner rather than later; the longer you leave it, the worse the problem will get. Are all systems seemingly operational? It's not unherad of to find a fault code or two there's at least three on my 05 C5 that keep returning yet don't seem to cause any ill-effects or downgrades and can be safely ignored. Funny this year I got a recall notice for that very issue.
