Ping g425 hybrid review
The G is still those things but with new heat, ping g425 hybrid review. A high-strength maraging-steel face wraps around the sole and crown. This allows the top and bottom of the face to be thinner and more flexible to increase distance.
PING offers a variety of graphite shafts to optimize your ball flight for the best possible feel and performance. We recommend that you get fit for the shaft that allows you to play your best golf. PING offers a variety of grip sizes and styles to fit different hand sizes and texture preferences. Since grip size influences your wrist action, and therefore the direction of your shots, it is commonly used by fitters to affect ball flight. PING color-coded grips are available in six different diameters, and can be further customized with grip tape according to your needs. Once the neutral grip color code has been determined based on hand measurements, golfers may consider smaller diameter grips to help control fades and slices, or larger diameter grips to help control draws and hooks. The Golf Pride Tour Velvet features a state-of-the-art rubber-blend compound with a non-slip surface pattern for maximum playability and confidence.

The result is more consistent carry distances, even on off-centre strikes. More face flex means more ball speed. The days of hybrids having a uniform curve across and up the face known as roll and bulge are well and truly gone. The result is less difference in launch, spin and carry distance between low, middle and high face impacts. Aerodynamic crown Turbulators have been a feature of Ping drivers, fairway woods and hybrids since the G30 in On the drivers, Ping included Turbulators for enhanced aerodynamics and speed, but only really featured them on the fairways and hybrids because they wanted consistency across the whole range and for a possible benefit in terms of how they framed the ball at address. Ping never made any claims about Turbulators enhancing the actual performance of fairway woods and hybrids. For the G, Ping decided instead to introduce a new 3-dot crown alignment aid to draw the same type of focus on the impact zone. Adjustable hosels for fairway woods and hybrids have come and gone for some brands but Ping believe adjustability, not just for loft but lie angle too, is a very important part of fitting golfers correctly. Instead, you get additional ball speed and more spin consistency between high and low face strikes. Ping G hybrids have been a brilliant choice for a good few years and the new model is no different.

We have been waiting patiently for months to see the launch of the new Ping G equipment and finally, it's here! The G is a great looking range of clubs as a whole, and as part of it Ping have produced the best looking hybrid ever. Yes, ever. First impressions really do mean a lot when it comes to golf clubs. Seriously, they looked that good.
With the adjustable loft sleeve and Arccos sensor included too, the Ping G hybrid makes for a compelling option at the top end of the bag. Why you can trust Golf Monthly Our expert reviewers spend hours testing and comparing products and services so you can choose the best for you. Find out more about how we test. The Ping G drivers brought new levels of playability and accuracy to the market, with the G hybrid looking to have done the same. Often, shots that require a hybrid - long approaches or tee shots on tight holes - need precision and control, which is where this club excels. At address, it sets up squarely behind the ball and the larger size inspires confidence. Certainly the large, rounded profile looks inviting to hit and the combination of the three dot system on the crown and white grooves on the edges of the face make it easy to align. Our clubhead speed was the lowest of all the models we tested and the ball speed was lower than average too as a result. However, the carry distance was more than competitive, averaging yards through the air. This actually made it one of the longer models we tried during testing.

You can read my full review of the new Ping Crossover here, but the purpose of this review is to trial the hybrids in comparison to the crossover so I can give a decent recommendation on which may be best for your game depending on what type of golfer you are. Next Club. The second new term from Ping in their hybrids and fairways is Spinsistency, meaning mishits go longer. When I flipped the G hybrid over, I had a flashback to the Anser hybrid from a few years back. Even players like me who use their hybrids in place of fairway woods should give the G a look. Hybrids are great if you need to carry water, bunkers and stop the ball on the greens coming in from height. The stock CB Slate shaft feels slow, sluggish and kind of dead, another shaft would probably work better for me. Golfalot Rating: 5 stars. Great full swing but it is my short game weapon of choice. This allows the top and bottom of the face to be thinner and more flexible to increase distance. I shot a hole in one the first time I used this club earlier this month.
Great shape and excellent feel. Strong ball speed. For the last several generations, PING hybrids have been the happy medium, the club that can do a little bit of everything.
A lot of hybrids opt for a thin, explosive feel more like a driver. This new shape is said to equal these numbers out more which makes total sense to me and can only be a good thing. Attractive look at address and ball took off like a rocket. No weight adjustments, lie adjustments, or anything needed…just pure dumb luck that it worked for me. I actually hit them better off the grass compared to the hitting mat during the fitting process. I would recommend bringing your hybrids to a fitting and comparing them to the G hybrids to see how each one works with your swing. The G is still those things but with new heat. What surprised me was the high end ball speed.
