This paper discusses, from the viewpoint of Iranian EFL learners, the advantages and disadvantages that implementing Internet-based EFL teaching in Iran can offer as well as the challenges and obstacles lying in the path of the implementation of such a program of language teaching. The data were collected from a total of 86 EFL learners aged 14 to 25 studying in a language institute by means of an open-ended purpose-built questionnaire and semi-structured interviews. The results revealed that the main advantages of using the Internet in EFL classes were said to be: a keeping up-to-date and b efficacy of teaching and learning.
