The Pleasant sims family has grown bigger in the years following The Sims. They appear to portray the stereotypical "perfect" upper-middle-class family, as they are Pleasantview's second richest family at the game's start, pleasant sims, and seemingly try to behave as if they had no problems.

I made a Genderbent Sims 4 Save File! All Sims from the base game have their genders reversed to the opposite gender. The results were hilarious!
