Archmage Support is a Support gem that changes the linked spell's base mana cost to be equal to a proportion of your unreserved mana. It gives the skill added Lightning damage based on how much mana was spent to cast that skill. While it is not possible to cast a spell that costs more than your current unreserved mana, poe archmage, Indigon can raise the mana cost beyond base after the spell is already casted. Vaal spells cannot be poe archmage by Archmage.

As far as i understand ggg has issue with one thing stacking builds, stack mana and mana alone to get damage and defense. In current game state i dont think atchmage builds can even work, i mean they have some hp pool and can have damage if focused towards it, but the damage mobs do now archmage builds would be annihilated. Missing auras and no space for defenses is prime reason. If simple mana stacking buff is not an option due to ggg's views and it still has to be distinct enough from ussuall other builds, im not really sure how to go about it. But ar least i can say that i dont really like indigon personally. Very high ramped up damage, somewhat clunky and possibly entire architype balanced around it. Posted by Andrius on Sep 6, , PM. Power Siphon of the Archmage is a wand attack skill that fires multiple projectiles which gain additional lightning damage based on your maximum mana. The projectiles have Culling Strike. Right click to remove from a socket. Unlike the original skill, this transfigured version has less damage effectiveness and does not gain any critical strike scaling from Power Charges. Instead, it gains added lightning damage based on your maximum mana. This item is a transfigured gem. It can be obtained through the use of the Divine Font in the Lord's Labyrinth.
The Mana stacking archetype scales both, its offence and defence, with Mana. With The Agnostic , we restore missing Life by draining our Mana and Arcane Cloak generates a shield based on Mana spent while empowering our damaging abilities. The synergies on this build are on the next level, hence why it is such an amazing build to play. Playing with The Agnostic as a Mana stacker feels like having a permanent Life Flask on steroids active, countering almost every damage over time debuff or degen in the game. This can be used before adding the Sublime Vision unique jewel to our setup, since it deactivates all other Auras besides Wrath. Elemental Ailments are similar to debuffs, associated with a specific damage type.
