First post for this user. Poutine Tags: Canadian. French fries topped with squeaky cheese curds and piping hot gravy. Poutine Fest - 1 General Tso Poutine and 1 traditional. Both were tasty but the traditional was my preference.

Pong's Poutine 6. I think the kimchi is better than it used to be. As I'm not personally a fan of slow-cooker style pulled pork, it's hard for me to love this dish but hey it's poutine! The lamentably unphotogenic chili poutine is the most delicious special poutine they make. Pulled pork with kimchi poutine. I'm pretty sure this is the best poutine combo I've ever had. Beautiful fries, generous curds, tasty gravy. Decent fries too. A base of regular poutine is topped with tender strands of slow cooked beef, a pongs poutine dark gravy, and sour cream.

Their regular menu is mostly standard chip wagon fare, but their daily specials mix things up with the likes of pad Thai, Thanksgiving poutine, satay chicken, and more! On the day we were there, a hot chicken sandwich was the deal of the day, so I went with that, while my wife got the cheeseburger combo, with the fries upgraded to a poutine. Did I need a sandwich slathered in piping hot gravy? Did I still order it? After a short wait in their sitting area with picnic tables and umbrellas, we soon had our hefty containers of food in hand. My sandwich was just about everything you could want from a hot chicken sammy — a flavourful, generous portion of chicken gravy, lots of moist and tender chicken, and soft white bread to absorb all that gravy goodness. Pro moves!

Great food. Interesting weekly poutine specials. They are always good and not your typical offerings. Highly recommended! Check out the Facebook page for the specials and hours. They are great about updating it. October Pong's poutine is a humble chip stand with bold flavours and great portions.

Burgers n' Fries Forever 6. Not too shabby. First post for this user. Like pizza is to the Newport Restaurant, poutine is to JP's! Crispy chicken and bacon poutine with Sriracha from a couple weeks ago. The poutine here is way too salty and I find it has an aftertaste. The fried part fell right off the meat, and the lack of spice coupled with the white gravy made for a filling but unsatisfying meal. The special until the end of February I was told is the Stroganoff Poutine. I am looking forward to trying some of their other toppings. Very good service, too. They are now offering a reduced "Special Events" menu. Love to see them so busy here towards the end of the season! If you want to read the review on my blog and see pictures: ottawafood. While I forked my way through this pile of fries, Coney Island meat sauce, curds, onions, and mustard, there were times that I felt like I was eating homemade roasted potatoes with delicious stew. Zolas Porchetta Poutine topped with a fried egg is truly unbelievably unique and one of the best in Ottawa

Delicious poutine. Crispy chicken and bacon poutine with Sriracha from a couple weeks ago. But I didn't take a photo because it looked like a pile of gloop. It's much like the Spicy Bird I had last time, except the fried chicken is spicy, there's no samurai mayo, and they use a white gravy instead of the traditional brown kind. Crispy Chips good. All in all just an average poutine that I would never eat sober. No grey, meat-sponges here! They have a different specialty poutine each week. Finally visited this new place today after the discussions in Forum - Taters in Kanata. Next time I'd probably try the "Scotty Dog" smoked meat, bacon, ham, jalapeno cheese sauce or "Le Montreal" smoked meat, sauerkraut, spicy mustard, diced onions or "Kicked up Mac" KD, jalapeno cheese sauce.
