This page will teach you how to build a Prawn Suit Drill Arm, an item used for multiple functions, like defense and resource collection. If you haven't found this area yet, check the Finding the Koppa Mining Site portion of the Walkthrough. You can also learn more about the biome in general on the Subnautica Biomes page. The Koppa Mining Site is its own biome and also has hidden tunnels behind the metal protective wire that lead to the Purple Vents and Deep Purple Vents. Inside you'll find randomly spawned fragments, though we found ours most easily on the lower levels of the mine where the ore veins are.

Prawn suit drill arm

This section will teach you how to build a Prawn Suit, which will make further exploration safer. The Prawn Suit makes underwater exploration and evening mineral mining much easier, and the suit can access places the Seatruck cannot. To begin, you will need to find four Prawn Suit Fragments. These are located in the Koppa Mining Site. To find out how to enter the site, check the Finding the Koppa Mining Site page. Once inside, you will find several Prawn Suit Fragments have spawned on the levels of the mine. You will need to explore the various areas of the mine to scan them. Once you have scanned all the fragments, the blueprint will automatically synthesize. At this point you will have created almost all the required components before, except Plasteel Ingot.

One of the resources you will come across in Subnautica is called a Large Resource Deposit, but the catch is that you cannot harvest them until later in the game. However, you are also not told what you need to begin gathering from these, which can be quite frustrating, especially to beginners. You can search for hours and still not find what you need, but there is no need to quit.
