Predacons are a fierce dragon-likepredatory race of ancient Cybertronians that were wiped out in the Great Cataclysm predacons Cybertron centuries ago, predacons. The terrifying Predaking proved a bit more of a challenge, but was soon dispatched by Sky Lynx. The separated Predacons fell back in disarray as the Autobots made their escape.

Predacons

For the most part, the main factions in the Transformers franchise are the Autobots and the Decepticons. This briefly changed, however, in the later s with the release of Beast Wars: Transformers. The toyline and corresponding cartoon introduced a new generation of fans to the Maximals and Predacons, the latter of whom proved to be some of the best additions to the franchise. These Predacons weren't a monolith, with even the villains having their own goals and agendas. Their characterizations were just as divergent, ranging from humorous to terrifying. The result was that these Predacons were some of the most pivotal parts of their respective shows, sometimes even overshadowing the Maximals. One of the most developed characters in Beast Wars was Blackarachnia, who began life as a Maximal protoform. Activated and aligned initially with the Predacons, she served as a devilish foil to the similar spider Transformer Tarantulas. A deadly femme fatale, she many times had her own agenda and snapped at anyone who got in her way. Of course, she somewhat dumped her bad girl image once the dashing Maximal Silverbolt stole her spark. This development showcased how many layers she had, and even then, she still kept her trademark sass. Most Generation 1 Transformers fans might recognize Ravage as a Decepticon, but he was given a new Predacon body when he appeared in the second season of Beast Wars.

Transformers Prime Beast Hunters: Predacons Rising is a American animated action adventure television film that concludes the Transformers: Prime television series. It was first broadcast on Hub Network on October 4, After the Autobots ' victory on Earth, Unicron returns in possession of Megatron 's body with the intent on destroying Cybertron, forcing Autobots, Decepticons, and Predacons to form an unlikely alliance to counter this threat. Not long after Megatron 's demise and the restoration of Cybertron, the Autobots celebrate as Optimus Prime knights Bumblebee a warrior. Optimus and Wheeljack embark on a journey to find the AllSpark, the source of Cybertronian life, leaving the other Autobots to hunt down the missing Decepticons Shockwave and Starscream. Meanwhile, at the bottom of Earth's ocean, Megatron is revived and possessed by Unicron, intending to destroy Cybertron. While searching for Shockwave and Starscream, Ultra Magnus and Smokescreen are attacked by their Predacon creations Skylynx and Darksteel, forcing Ratchet to return to Cybertron to treat their wounds.

The Predacons are a race of ancient Cybertronian beasts. Originally led by the one called "the Predaking ", the ancient Predacons were the largest Cybertronians to be born from the Well of All Sparks , emerging from its depths on the final day of the genesis of Cybertron 's biosphere. Enormous, savage, and draconic in form, these creatures were once among the mightiest beings on Cybertron, second only to the last surviving members of the Thirteen ; one of the Primes , in particular, the Predacons drew a strong pattern from. While other inhabitants of prehistoric Cybertron learned to extract Energon from the ground, the Predacons hunted other Cybertronians for their energon, draining their prey's Energon and cycling the metallic remains out of their system. However, tragedy struck their kind during a disaster known as the Great Cataclysm , in which dire circumstances rendered the entire race extinct. In more recent times, however, the Decepticon scientist Shockwave has discovered the trick to cloning the ancient beasts from preserved CNA samples found in fossilized Predacon remains. Finding successful results, Shockwave's efforts have given birth to new iterations of these ancient beasts—such as the new Predaking —who have evolved beyond the originals, learning even how to transform! Furthermore, Shockwave's experiments have even extended to splicing the CNA samples into normal Cybertronians , leading to hybrids like his devout disciple Ser-Ket. Several days after the ignition of the Well, Predaking emerged, the first and most powerful Predacon. He was followed shortly afterwards by Twinstrike and Lazerback.

Predacons

Combining brute strength and bestial cunning, the villainous Predacons seek power at any cost. Driven by resentment and hatred for their Maximal and Autobot foes, they aim to usurp their enemies and claim what they see as their rightful place in the universe. Though some of them hold to a strange sense of honor , others have no qualms with lying and cheating to claw their way to the top. While their origins vary across the multiverse , the Predacons are often the descendants of the Decepticons , sometimes taking their moniker from a sub-group of that faction. As their name suggests, they often take on beast modes in times of conflict, typically reptilian or arthropod in nature; this is not a strict rule, however, and they have taken forms ranging from sea creatures to military vehicles to even mythical beasts.

Savage Landing Part 1. Starscream said they were planning to build an army powerful enough to conquer Cybertron in their Masters' name. And so, just as the Autobot forces were gathering around their transmitters, waiting for the pre-scheduled broadcast that would never come, Razorclaw caught them off-guard with a massive full-frontal assault on the enemy trenches. Arising from the ashes of the Great War, the Predacons are, at least in part, descendants of the Decepticons. Some sources suggest that they were born from what remained of the original five Predacons. This has led many Predacons to hold bitter grudges against the Maximals.
