Easy to find the parking lot there is a gravel lot before the gatehouse of the park. Lots of parking spaces. Great views of the lake and a cute little boardwalk about halfway through.

The Nature Trail forms a loop, passing through several natural zones that vary from loose sand to bedrock to muskeg and swamp, with an equally varied array of inhabitants. Follow a series of informative signs along the way, with pictures of some of the creatures that you may see, including squirrels, ruffed grouse, whiskey jacks, snowshoe hares and crossbills. This is an easy walk, but well worth it for the unique scenery jack pine forest in silt, ancient glacial rock, excellent lake views. The rocky terrain, Jack Pines and various lichen were beautiful. February 14, There are some year round residents as well. Need to take time and extra care with intentional foot placement. Well-marked, but one tricky spot: at the top of a boulder-y hill, you have to look down and through birch trees to see the next white walker blue sign. It leads to lookouts and viewpoints.
