Hi all, I like to know about how things work, so I am curious about that this is? If I pull the handle water comes out through the relief pipe on the outside. I am guessing it a pressure relief valve? I'm just curios as to what it does and why is it needed? The mains water supplies washing machine, outside tap, sink and instantaneous water heater no storage tank - doesn't work actually thinking about getting new one. If I was to replace the instant water heater with another, would the "pressure relief valve" need to stay? I have seen no requirements of any in any literature of 2 different brands. So curious as to why I have one now?!
