This article is a stub. You can help WikiAlpha by expanding it. Primus is an ancient being of light and the creator of the Transformers in many incarnations of that franchise. He is often depicted as the polar opposite to-and antagonist of- Unicron. In his initial depiction, Primus was one of many "light gods" engaged in a war against the "dark gods" led by Unicron, with the conflict terminating in the personal rivalry between the two. Primus' goal was to defeat Unicron so that he could ascend to the Omniversal Matrix, the pantheon to which his fellows had passed. In the Marvel Comics , Unicron had existed in a universe prior to the current one and destroyed much of it before going into a dormant state.

An ancient and ethereal being created by The One , whose origins date back to the beginnings of the universe itself, Primus is a multiversal force for good, his life force existing across multiple realities and infinite alternate universes. In each one, he is the final defense against his fallen sibling, Unicron the Chaos-Bringer. He even sits 1 in the Strongest robots in the omniverse. Though wise and powerful beyond measure, Primus is neither infallible nor without weakness. Indeed, even the intended agents of his grand plan, the Transformers, have all too frequently become mired in endless civil war. Still, in most realities he has managed to hold the line against Unicron and other threats, either directly or through the Transformers. Primus eventually transformed himself into a mechanical-like planet similar to Cybertron itself, but in some or several differences. Primus's power is equal to that of Unicron. It has been shown that by his will alone he was able to create three species and manifest pure Energon. It is said that he possess, like Unicron, a form of pure energy and can shed his physical body which Optimus stated, he already has. He possesses the ability to directly transmit information to another individual's mind as long as Energon flows through them, mirroring Unicron's ability with Dark Energon. Light shined on him as he went deeper into the Core. This allowed Primus to give life again and millions of sparks burst from the Well. Like Unicron , Primus likely possess the ability to revive anyone who are dead, as Optimus was able to briefly return to life to defeat Underbite and speak to Bumblebee and his team in Robots in Disguise, possibly due to Primus. Also Optimus' statement about "the universe" having plans for him in the future, may refer to Primus.
This version of the myth, with this primus transformers of the Thirteen, primus transformers, went on to be referenced in such series as the Prime Wars Trilogy cartoons and the Transformers: Cyberverse cartoon. However, when the Maximals found the body to be in ruins, Big Convoy realized Unicron's true goal: To possess Cybertron through Vector Sigma and supplant it as the god of the Transformers!

Primus is the living creator-God of the Transformer race in the Aligned continuity, whose body became the planet Cybertron. Primus is the twin brother of Unicron , his eternal foe, whom he battled for eons before going into stasis. Primus also created the Thirteen , the first Primes , to defeat his evil twin brother and cast Unicron into deep space. Primus is the Father of all Cybertronians, as all their Sparks are created by Primus. Primus was created at the beginning of the very universe itself by the One. However, the scale had to be balanced, which resulted in the creation of Unicron, the destroyer. The two brothers battled on a deserted cyber world for ages.

Despite this, as the sentience behind Cybertron and the Transformers' creation, future Transformers movies could still see Primus reaching out to his creations. As such, Primus has vowed to stop Unicron, with the children of the former often fighting against Unicron and his minions. As such, he devised a plan to defeat Unicron by taking himself out of the battle and creating the Thirteen to face his nemesis in his place. Primus then became inactive, Formidable and began to fade once again. It has been shown that by his will alone he was able to create three species and manifest pure Energon. When the planet leaders managed to seize the Omega Lock and the Keys, Primus teleported them all back to him, restoring himself to full power. As Primus' is a god to the Transformers, and responsible for their creation, every being born on Cybertron is essentially a child of Primus. As the war wound down, Megatron managed to acquire the Matrix of Leadership and bonded it to his spark. Primus was destroyed in the battle with Unicron when his avatar, Xaaron , was blown to pieces by the Chaos-Bringer. Using the Black Legendisc to peer into the future, Primus found the next universe to be filled with death and cruelty and realized the origin of the Vok as the Specters he thought fully defeated. While it's only a fleeting reference, it's sure to have caught the attention of long-time Transformers fans and intrigued newcomers to the franchise.
