Edit: Just to be clear, I'm not disputing that the Quanta article is factually deficient - although I don't have the relevant specialist knowledge to understand why. I am disputing that this marks the "death" of the magazine.

I won't speculate on the reasons for this, because I'm sure there quanta magazine many, but the end result is that they are desperate for crazy sounding physics discoveries, because it placates their desire for extreme technological progression. I meant that the magazine is not literally dead, but in the sense of "dead to me".
