Like many of us with the textured "fuzzy" black engine paint, I have a few places where the paint is coming off. I had the engine cases replaced under warranty many years ago, but the transmission, bevel, and other miscellaneous parts are also painted with the original factory textured finish. So I've been looking around at various paint products, and wondered if anyone has tried any that are a good match to the factory finish and durable. When tasked with re-doing my '02 motor, I opted for a satin finish non-wrinkle paint, ie; Ford engine paint. The wrinkle finishes require heat to wrinkle. Didn't want to bake my motor, or mess with trying out other options. I used rattle cans, high heat paint and primer. Not the hardest finish, but works for me. Looks great. Not sure how well this would match the texture on your black fuzzy engine, but I really love this stuff:. I used it to re-paint the aluminum lid on one of my Rizoma brake fluid tanks. For spot touchups would probably work really well

No real set up needed! For now I am very happy with the set up and sound so I can't be critical or recommend changes at this moment. It is a bit plain looking, although the headstock as well as the neck inlays are pretty. I like the tuners and considering it is a brand new banjo the tuning held with miniscule adjustments. Find a Teacher Take your playing to the next level with the help of a local or online banjo teacher. I love this banjo, at the time I needed a good intermediate banjo that sounded and looked great, I definitely got what I was looking for with the RK A great sounding banjo with plenty of volume. The brass tone hoop really fits with the open back sound. I have not made any changes to the set up as of yet. Have not changed anything as of yet.

The 5th string tuner was a little loose though. Overall Rating: It's not fancy, but has an appealing simplicity. However I don't think I would have needed costomer service; this banjo is just way too good. I had the head tightened, spikes added and a new bridge and strings. Set up by a guitar player so the sustain was a bit long for my taste but just a quick tightening and all good. The sound is all I could ever ask for and more. Great customer service. The components are of similar quality to my RK 36 and while the OT25 is plain in appearance it's tone and volume first class. Setup Rating: 5 Appearance My rk o25 is perfect. The RK will joing the RK 75 as my performance banjos. The tone ring fit wasn't too tight, but I wanted it to have a slip fit.
