RAC WA is undertaking a ground-breaking digital transformation. By selecting Microsoft Azure as its preferred cloud, and continuing investment in the digital capability of its people, it is building agility and enhancing the services it provides to its members in Western Australia. The transformation also includes RAC WA enhancing its technical landscape where information was previously managed through many different systems. Now, with a consolidated, degree view of information delivered by Dynamics Customer Insights, it is planning to leverage additional modern services such as Azure Data Bricks and Azure Synapse Analytics to accelerate and enhance member experience. Today the organisation has a membership of over one million people in more than 60 per cent of WA households and is a powerful advocate for road safety and transport sustainability. RAC WA also supports its members through the services it provides including roadside assistance, insurance, travel and tourism, finance, auto services, and home and security services. Our interactions with members are really critical and Dynamics Customer Insights is a key part of that. We want to have a complete and enhanced view of our members to ensure we can provide them with the best possible service. Achieving this through adopting modern and secure cloud-based solutions allows the organisation to respond faster to changing member or market needs. It is also planning to transition out of a legacy data warehouse and use Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks and Power BI to construct a modern data lake with limitless analytics capability. RAC WA is also deploying Microsoft technologies more broadly across the organisation to support its people, establish and enhance a flexible hybrid workplace, and deliver exceptional member experiences. A case in point is the mass deployment of Surface devices which has supported a modern, flexible and engaged workplace of over 1, employees. RAC WA is particularly committed to strengthening its digital capability by investing in its people, many of whom now have achieved Microsoft certification.

The Royal Automobile Club of Western Australia RAC WA is a motoring club and mutual organisation, offering motoring services and advice, insurance, travel services, finance, driver training and exclusive benefits for their members. As an independent voice for road users in WA, RAC is concerned with all aspects of road and community safety. The RAC is an important advocate for its members and the WA community on issues such as road and vehicle safety, fuel pricing, road funding, transport planning, energy and the environment.
