How to Use Flip on the Viper 4. Printable View. Details The Flip feature is primarily used in seeder applications, but it can be used in other applications as well. It is designed to create a buffer zone of sorts, allowing the seeder to make turns between passes through the field without damaging seedbed in the headlands. Flip accomplishes this by creating a no-apply zone for the headlands of the field. When you are ready to finish the headlands, you can then switch over to an apply zone. Flip is available with Viper 4 software versions 2. Create a Field Boundary Although it is not mandatory, you can create a field boundary and a Flip zone at the same time.
