It started when she was 26 in October when she found a lump doing a self-check in the shower. Due to issues with her husband's insurance, Robeson could not see a doctor until Jan. But once she did, the doctor immediately took a sample and sent her to an oncologist in Aiken. After getting a biopsy done, Robeson and her husband learned she had stage four breast cancer. The cancer had spread from her right breast to her lymph nodes to her liver, lungs, ribs and sternum. Her friends with medical backgrounds helped her find a good team in the Augusta University cancer center that got her the help she needed.
