This stunning all-inclusive cruise ship is redefining luxury at sea — and we were among the first to sail. Originally from South Carolina, Elizabeth moved to New York City from London, where she started her career as a travel blogger and writer. With a maximum of guests per sailing, Grandeur is a far cry from mega-ships where pool crowds and buffet lines are the norm. With spacious all-suite, all-balcony accommodations and intimate specialty restaurants, the ship felt lively but never crowded. In fact, although my mom and I were tempted by the unlimited included shore excursions at our port in the Bahamas, we opted to stay on board to experience every amenity the ship had to offer. Here, my review of the Regent Seven Seas Grandeur. On Grandeur , guest accommodations range from the entry-level Veranda Suites to the one-of-a-kind, 4,square-foot Regent Suite. Crew is great led by Ray, cruise director, who was everywhere. Worst of all was the bed vibrating.
On our first evening in suite the vibration was dreadful. The entire bathroom vibrated, as did the bedroom. Worst of all was the bed vibrating. Our entire bodies shook. It was distressing and made us both feel almost sick. First thing in the morning my husband reported the matter, but somehow it was not seen as a complaint! After three visits to reception, we eventually got a member of
Regent really delivers luxury and at a high level. Naturally, there are occasional blips but this inevitable and does not take any from the overall experience. The service culture is evident.
