He discovered that grants were more often awarded to physicians so he enrolled in Medical School and earned his MD at the University of Miami. While attending the University of Miami, he found he possessed a deep interest in every specialty of medicine the encountered and decided to pursue a career in medicine. Duncan found that the only way to incorporate all the specialties was through Family Practice. He completed his specialty boards through the University of Miami and the University of Oklahoma.
