When I arrived at the H10 Rubicon Palace it was a lovely surprise to be greeted by a smiling lady with a glass of champagne. Thankfully, after a few days I managed to suss out the timing. Once inside I was very pleased to see a large sofa-bed, round coffee table, flat-screen tv with remote there are 5 English channels, BBC World, Sky News, Disney plus 2 movie channels. When my room was cleaned in the afternoon the topper was put onto my bed excellent. It was lovely to have the option of a bath as well as a shower. I ended up using the towel rail over the bath when I wanted to dry anything. There was plenty of space for all my clothes and enough hangers for one person 2 people may well want more.

The room upper-middle-range H10 Rubicon Palace is a sprawling all-inclusive property with all the bells and whistles expected from a big beach resort. Rooms are spacious and airy, with amenities such as flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges minibars in all but standard rooms and balconies or terraces, some with ocean views. The spa is pleasant and relaxing, with lovely outdoor areas overlooking the ocean, several massage rooms decorated with candles, and a spacious hydrotherapy area. The fitness center, though, is only free three hours in the morning. Food is varied, but some guests have found it somewhat underwhelming in the a la carte restaurants. The hotel can feel a little overrun with kids, so those seeking a more peaceful vacation may want to compare rates at adult-only sister property H10 Timanfaya Palace. Although the property is no longer as grand as it used to be, it still retains much of its splendor: the eye-catching lobby is decked out in wood, marble, and terra-cotta, and its expansive grounds feature ample paths lined with Italianate balustrades, charming plazas lined with low buildings, and big lawns dotted with cacti, palm trees, and flowers. Moreover, the hotel is currently immersed in a multi-million dollar renovations project that will affect all of its rooms, the main pool deck, and the restaurants. The hotel expects to be fully updated by the end of The wide array of kid-friendly amenities available have long made it one of the most popular hotels for those traveling with children, but we were a little taken aback by the sheer number of kids we saw running around. The main deck was particularly busy and loud, with foam parties, fitness activities, and loud music played through large speakers. Parents were either chasing after their kids or sunbathing on loungers between trips to the snack bar. Granted, there is a slightly quieter area in the oceanfront Villa section, but the overall atmosphere was not quite relaxing there either.

When we returned to collect keys there was a long line. I have to say though, that yoghurt should not be served at room temperature in my opinion. They took care of every wish we had. Paradise Island Hotel. All-inclusive rates cover all food and local drinks -- as well as a number of imported brands -- until around midnight. The food was very good with lots of choice and of a good standard. Whole hotel seemed very unfriendly and cold. Best Rates. There is a freezer full of ice cream that you help yourself to as well as plates of melon and other fruit. The spa is pleasant and relaxing, with lovely outdoor areas overlooking the ocean, several massage rooms decorated with candles, and a spacious hydrotherapy area.
Finding an ideal family-friendly resort in Playa Blanca does not have to be difficult. Welcome to H10 Rubicon Palace, a nice option for travelers like you.
You help yourself to water, coke, fanta etc as well as coffee and tea from machines. Housekeeping everyday. We tried it on a cloudy morning but by the time we got into Playa Blanca the sun was shining and it was very hot so we got a taxi back, which only cost about 3 euros. I like the chalet style accommodations. It offers travellers quirky places to stay, activity holidays and learning experiences. Lovely rooms with huge bathrooms and lovely clean towels changed by the maid on a daily basis. Quite a few people we met had been staying at the Rubicon Palace for years, and mentioned that standards had slipped, but as it was our first time staying there we were really impressed, but if you looked really closely there were a few things that needed attention to make it perfect! Maid service was ok but floor could have been done better. Lifts need attention. Additionally, the poolside snack bar offers a wide array of sandwiches, salads, desserts, and hot and cold drinks. The rooms were the only thing that lets this Hotel down.
