The leather on these stretches and wears easily and the sling keepers also quickly stretch out to the point they are no longer effective. They also have leather. I've done several web searches and seen it mentioned often, but no images.

It worked OK but one year I forgot both of my slings and on the way out had to stop and get another. The other slings would more or less stay put on my shoulder but it was best if I kept a hand on it just to be sure it wouldn't slide off. Just a basic nylon sling with a gripper strip. The sling is left connected to the rifle at both the fore-end and butt stock ends. Amazing craftsmanship, and solid service. So much so that it not only doesn't slip, I can't even pull it off when it's touching the pack straps. With the middle strap pulled tight, the sling is in the position for shoulder carry. I have bought a few at Cabela's using Midway as the basis for a price match for an even better price. I worked pretty well.
