The self-proclaimed front page of the internet is home to several subreddits, groups where people come together to talk about interests, hobbies, or topics that they like. People from all walks of life come together on Reddit to talk about the things they love. But the irony of the sub is that if you do end up on the hot page, it means your opinion has been upvoted, making it a popular opinion. They believe that sports do nothing impactful on a societal scale, making their work, and the amount of money they earn compared to more productive members of society, completely unrespectable. While many sports fans advocate for how sports allow students to develop their character and encourage them to maintain good grades, there has been growing concern that the increasing importance of sports in society and schools is actually taking away from real education. But these concerns have more to do with academia and the school system than with sports itself.

A sub-reddit for popular opinions. What a blatant lie! A true abomination of a sub. If you actually use the sub for its purpose, you get downvoted into oblivion , but if you post a popular opinion, then you get upvotes and awards and what have you. A subreddit that is absolutely hypocritical to the name it's reciven. Most of the opinions are just "Minecraft is overrated", "Harry Potter is overrated," "weed is good", " Fortnite is fun," "TikTok is good," or something that aims at women or black people, or sex. So maybe I'm just overly worried or concerned but I never have felt comfortable hugging women because I feel uncomfortable knowing their chest might rub on me. I can't help feeling like women don't like it either. Then again I've always been one to care about what others think. I never want to offend anyone.
But they also touch on how the r/unpopularopinion normalization of beautifying women raises beauty standards and pressures women into conformity, r/unpopularopinion.

We'll just leave these here and see if you agree with them… or not. Tempers may flare. You've been warned. Let me just preface this by saying that you're allowed to like whatever you want, whether it be Top 40 pop music or WWE. However, I think it's reasonable to infer that you're either a small child or a very gullible, naive adult if you genuinely believe that WWE wrestlers are actually fighting rather than performing a scripted show. Well, the same principle applies to those who deify "Queen Bey" as this brilliant musical genius. Like pro-wrestling, her entire image and the narrative surrounding her career are just theatrics and carefully orchestrated branding.

Studies have shown that the constant flood of filtered photographs and perfectly done-up women brought on by social media exposure actually increases the rate of eating disorders among women. Both services "speak the same language" that language is called 'ActivityPub' , so you can view and interact with Mastodon content from Lemmy, and vice versa. As many users have pointed out, the same arguments for the practical irrelevance of athletes can also be made about artists. A sub-reddit for popular opinions. I don't earn any money from this site, and if my calculations are correct it'd cost me a couple thousand dollars per month with their new API pricing, so yeah. Note 3 : Lemmy is based on the same technology as Mastodon. It makes me feel important and tweens must respect my authoritaah! If that were the case, the user argues, then schools would have to teach you how to farm strawberries or overhaul a car engine. So maybe I'm just overly worried or concerned but I never have felt comfortable hugging women because I feel uncomfortable knowing their chest might rub on me.

Allia Luzong is a freelance writer, social media manager, content manager, and project manager with a professional background in psychology. The reason? I think this site may break or stop updating soon due to Reddit's API changes. Her work can be found online and in print. If anything, the Redditor argues, the older partner is just as, if not more, morally reprehensible than obvious pedophiles. If you actually use the sub for its purpose, you get downvoted into oblivion , but if you post a popular opinion, then you get upvotes and awards and what have you. A score of 1 means that users of the inputted subreddit are no more likely to frequent that subreddit than the average reddit user. They then go on to say that the point of school is to teach students how to learn and how to think critically and, conversely, not teach a trade.
