Closet Core Patterns drafts patterns in three different size ranges depending on the design. Please note that older patterns may only be available in sizes Our size range is based on a B cup bust with an average height of 5'-6". Please note that B cup does not refer to bra sizing, but rather the difference in inches between high and full bust. If the difference between your high bust and full bust is higher than 2", you may need to make a full bust adjustment for select patterns. Our size range is based on a D cup bust and pear-shaped lower body with an average height of 5'-6". If the difference between your high bust and full bust is greater than 4", you may need to make a full bust adjustment for select patterns. If the difference is smaller, you may need to make a small bust adjustment. While there are a few overlapping sizes in the and size range, please note that body measurements are not the same. If you've made our patterns before, you may find you are a different size in the extended range, so it is really important you choose a size based on your actual measurements rather than what you may have chosen in the past. I have a confession: I am messy, disorganized, and not always known for my cleanliness. For me, there are always bigger priorities in my life that take precedence over cleaning the house, and in my defense, between working and parenting, there is a lot to juggle around here. But the past year in quarantine has definitely forced me to reevaluate those priorities. When I tell you it was in dire need of a cleanup and a cleanout, I mean it just wait until you see the before photos. Mentally, it took me a year to finally tackle it, and then I spent at least two to three weekends decluttering and simultaneously doing research around small closet organization ideas to figure out how I was going to coordinate and design the square-foot space so that it stays that way.

Welcome to the first tutorial for our latest pattern, the Sasha Trousers. We won't be doing a full sewalong for Sasha, but I am going to walk you through the trickest parts, and in this post we'll be talking about how to sew single welt pockets, for Sasha or any other pants pattern your maker's heart desires. Welt pockets tend to give sewists a little anxiety if they've never sewn them before, but I think the heartburn is unwarranted. With a little care, beautiful welts are totally within your power, I promise. This welt pocket method is a little different than one you may have tried before. We wanted to create a very professional, strong back pocket with a completely clean finish, so there are a few extra steps that will guarantee an extra beautiful final product. First things first, go ahead and sew those back darts and press them towards center back. In the instructions, we suggest placing your fusible interfacing on the welt location before sewing the dart, but you can also do it after. This helps anchor the dart point down. Just make sure you interface here; we'll be cutting into the fabric so you need to stabilize the area beforehand.
