Even though I've talked about the series quite a bit throughout the project, I wanted to give myself an opportunity to fully record what this series means to me, accompanied by the official art from the series. Saezuru is a BL boy love series which serialized on the by-monthly ihr Hertz magazine in Both of which are later included in Saezuru's official volume release, as the stories are part of Yashiro, Saezuru's protagonist's past. The yakuza theme is no stranger in the BL world. People love fictional bad boys changing for the better or not , and what's a more convenient setting than the organized crime groups filled with men in Japan? When I first came across Saezuru nearly 10 years ago, I was sure that this would be just another excuse for easy fan service with inconsistent characters who somehow breeze through the yakuza life style, then casually romance some regular dude and all of a sudden decide to protect them with their lives. I mean, a hypersexual masochist yakuza vs. Then over the years, it undoubtedly became one of my absolute favorite stories ever, not even limited to the genre. As opposed to the vast majority of the stories in the BL genre, where the plots are generally pushed forward by the protagonists' interactions, Saezuru has a very carefully crafted narrative. I will go as far as to say that Saezuru's subplot is as prominent as the conflict between Yashiro and Doumeki, so much so that even if the chemistry was completely removed, the series would still stand like an old Cantanese gangster movie.
It is too heart-wrenching of a story. Yet, that simply isn't the case. Both characters struggle with self realization and acceptance, but from the polar ends of the spectrum.
SHIT you guys are going to freak the fuck out over this chapter. While reading most of it I was just shouting various expletives into the ether in my apartment lol. Keep reading. The digital version was crappy again. EDIT: I just noticed a few things wrong with the last page.
We checked for updates on streaming services on March 6, at AM. Something wrong? Let us know! The sexually masochistic yakuza boss, Yashiro, isn't the type to warm up to others easily. Hello folks, I have the goods. The way Doumeki holds him close tightly. When I was younger, I'd read many comments on the Yashiro and Doumeki's relationship evolving too vaguely or slowly. Log In. Also, and I know this is a futile ask, but please DO NOT upload these images to an aggregate site that profits off of the scans from incessant ads or otherwise. I think this exchange is, once again, reinforcing for Yashrio the belief that he's ruined any chance he might have had to be with Doumeki, and turned Doumeki against him, to the point that he thinks Doumeki wants to hurt him. Everything I write is based on my own research, readings, understanding and worded in my own ways. It seems that Kai should be grateful to Okuyama, but for some reason in the present based on previous chapters they have a strained relationship. And Yashiro is more confused, more vulnerable, looking like Doumeki in earlier volumes as well. Yashiro under the belief that Doumeki doesn't love him and never has, and Doumeki under the belief that Yashiro will again run away if he confesses his feelings.
Yashiro, the ruthlessly efficient leader of the yakuza group Shinsekai, is also a brazen sexual deviant and masochist. Having been hurt by the only person he had ever fallen in love with, he now engages in strictly physical relationships. One day, Yashiro's superior assigns Chikara Doumeki, a recently released prisoner, to the role of Yashiro's new bodyguard.
Yoneda Kou spends a tremendous amount of time detailing the yakuza dynamic with realistic hierarchy and building a believable breeding ground for male ego and jealousy. And then comes the big moment that everyone keeps talking about, which is an indirect confession from Yashiro of his feelings for Doumeki, when Doumeki says in reply to Yashiro's accusation that Doumeki has said some cruel things to him, "You liked cruel things, didn't you? There would be chapters where the protagonists hardly show up to set up for the story, this is very bold for a bi-monthly-release series. Oooh, so the plot thickens!! It was the apple that Yashiro took a bite out of, bringing him knowledge that — combined with all the trauma from above — left him bereft. Internet Arcade Console Living Room. Too honest and loyal for his own good, too caring but lacks the words to express them. Yashiro's almost startled look after Doumeki says this, followed by a sort of sad resignation, makes me think that he believes it.
