Many of the main characters in Naruto had tough childhoods, such as Naruto growing up as a widely disliked orphan, while Sasuke witnessed his entire family's slaughter at Itachi's hands. This is also true for Sakura and Hinata, who both felt pretty lousy about themselves in their youth. Sakura went through a lot of hard work under Tsunade training. Also, Sakura is naturally more strong willed than Hinata. If you want to give a statement on a character please educate yourself first. Like seriously,the world isn't just big boobs and sexy body. Although there are some relationship that can blossom late after friendship, but Naruto and Sakura is not like that. I like both characters, and I kind of don't see why people need to compare these two. Hinata didn't lose because of her skills it's because she didn't want to hurt her sister. Ino is canonically the beauty of konoha and if you cant see that its your fault, not to mention how you said she has the best personality.

Sakura is decent only because they wanted another tsunade, they needed someone to be the third Sabin again, and she was it. Sakura is hands down in my opinion the strongest in the series. Sakura has a lot of potential and so does hinata, how does it matter if Sakura came from like a not-so-great background!? You do realize that Tsunade is literally the strongest woman alive, right?
