As you know by now, I love a good train adventure. And it turned out to be a very easy and amazing train trip to the northwest of Spain. Hop on board! I paid for everything in full myself. I was not paid or sponsored. All my opinions and experiences are my own.

Choose the one that suits you best and get travelling! Bilbao Airport, with connections to all Europe, is km from the city, and Biarritz Airport, served by French and international low-cost companies, 47km. Underground pay parkings all around the town. Park and Ride free car parks with bus connection to the city centre. There is also an underground railway, the Metro Donostialdea , a narrow-gauge train connection with Bilbao and cities along the Basque Coast, such as Zarautz.

The temporary station is on the other side of the train tracks, in the Plaza Nestor Basterretxea. It can be reached from the Egia neighbourhood, opposite the side entrance to the Tabakalera International Contemporary Cultural Centre. By car, it would take well over 12 hours of driving time but you have to take stops and traffic into consideration.
