Simar and Roli are two sisters in Vrindavan. Simar aspires to be a dancer, sasural simar ka. Her marriage is fixed with a wealthy businessman, Prem Bharadwaj. On wedding day, Simar participates in a dance competition and Roli is forced to marry Prem.

While Simar dreams of becoming a singer, Reema aspires to be a model. Aarav Oswal and Vivaan Oswal are cousins who love and respect each other. They fall for Reema, but Simar falls for Aarav. Reema is chosen to be Aarav's bride but leaves on the wedding day for an event for her modeling career. Simar instead is requested to marry Aarav, but the Oswals reject her. Geetanjali Aarav and Vivaan's grandmother fixes Vivaan's marriage with Reema. After a lot of trials and tribulations, The Oswals finally accept Simar as their daughter-in-law. However, Simar and Aarav's relationship is jeopardised when Aarav's old friend Dhami enter their lives. Dhami is obsessed with Aarav and claims to be his first wife. It turns out that Dhami is mentally unstable and she drugs Aarav and marries him.

Dipika Kakar, who shot to fame as Simar in Sasural Simar Ka, reprised her role in the second season of the show. However, she left in just two months. In a new video shared on her YouTube channel, she revealed the reason behind her exit from Sasural Simar Ka 2. She told me that she needs me for around two to two-and-a-half months.
