At long last, I am here. Sauron, The Dark Lord is an absolute bomb of a commander who is not only very hard to remove and in the context of some games almost impossible! Our deck is entirely focused on comboing off as quickly as possible in all of the expected CEDH ways but with Sauron if we are against a stax heavy table or need to go long we have a huge advantage! I'm so excited about this series of cards that I'll be providing a few different Legendary Creatures a look over the next few weeks, creating my own take on brewing them for competitive and casual Commander play. Some of those will probably be pretty low power, and some, like this week, will still be pretty powerful. Today's focus is Sauron, the Dark Lord. Yes, the big bad himself! What attracted me to this Commander? Let's get into it.
