If you have a scheduled green garden waste collection due on Monday 13 th, please present your green sefton bin collections as normal. There will be a limited number of crews collecting these so please be patient as there will be some delays. If your green bin is not collected on Monday leave them out and our teams will continue to clear through the week. Other services scheduled for Friday 10 th March, sefton bin collections, including bulky item collections, bin deliveries, trade waste and clinical waste collections will be subject to delays.

Green wheelie bin collections for garden waste will resume from next week in Sefton, after a four-break. The bins replace sacks previously delivered to residents and will be collected on alternate weeks, with brown recycling bins collected one week and grey residual bins collected the next. The aim of the initiative is to create cleaner neighbourhoods across Sefton, reduce the risk of vermin and fly-tipping and introduce a safer, more hygienic system of storing household waste prior to collection. Collections of wheeled bins begin the week commencing Monday October 26 and a calendar of collection dates will be delivered to those homes receiving the new bins, along with instructions on how to use the new service. Households with a garden will also receive a green garden waste bin. Details of collection dates for garden waste will be on a sticker attached to the green bin lids.
